Fireball Sidecar ("we," "us") is built by Fireball Enterprise. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and subscription tier. Your password is stored securely by our authentication provider using industry-standard hashing; we never see or store it in plain text.
- Your conversations — messages you send and the assistant's replies, saved so you can revisit past chats.
- Conversation memory — a small, automatically pruned set of durable preferences and chat-specific context used to make future replies more relevant.
- Images — photos you upload, your avatar, and images the assistant generates for you.
- Usage data — message, token, and web search counts, used to apply your subscription tier's limits.
How we use it
- To operate the chat service — your messages are sent to AI model providers to generate a reply.
- To maintain your account, conversation history, memory, and image library.
- To apply the usage limits your subscription tier grants.
- On the Free tier, to serve advertising through Google AdSense (see Advertising below) — this is how we keep a free tier available at all.
- To improve the service and fix problems.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We do share it with the vendors that make the service possible: AI model providers (to generate responses to your messages), Tavily (to process web-search queries when a reply needs current information), and cloud infrastructure providers (to host the app and store your data). They are bound to only use your information to provide their service to us.
Advertising (Free tier)
Free-tier accounts see ads served through Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technology to show relevant ads and measure performance. Paid tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are ad-free. You can learn about and control ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Your controls
From your Account page you can, at any time and without asking us:
- Review and forget memory without deleting your conversations. Chat-specific memory is also removed when its chat is deleted.
- Download a copy of your data — every conversation and its memory, account memory, your image library's details, and your usage.
- Delete all your content — conversations, memory, usage history, and every image — while keeping your login.
- Delete your account entirely, login included. This can't be undone.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you clear your data or delete your account, it's removed promptly and permanently — there's no separate backup copy we keep around after that.
Children's privacy
Fireball Sidecar isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the update.
